Visto is designed to be private and simple. The app helps you build a map of the countries you have visited. It does not require an account, and we do not collect your photos or your photo metadata.
Visto stores the countries you mark as visited directly (and exclusively) on your device.
If you import from Photos, Visto reads location metadata from photos you allow it to access so it can determine which countries you may have visited. This scanning happens on your device. Visto does not upload, collect, or store your photos, photo location metadata, or exact locations.
You can also choose to add countries manually instead of using Photos.
Photo library access is optional. iOS will ask for your permission before Visto can access your photo library.
If you choose to let Visto access your photo library, Visto will use it to build a map of the places you’ve visited. However, no photos or photo metadata will ever leave your device or be used for any other purpose.
You can allow full access, limited access, or deny access to your photo library. If you deny access, Visto will not read your photo library and you can still add countries manually. You can change photo access at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Visto uses Aptabase to collect basic, non-identifying usage analytics. This helps us understand how the app is used and improve it.
Visto does not collect any personal information.
Visto does not have user accounts, so we do not tie analytics events to any kind of account or user profile.
If you use Visto’s sharing feature, the app creates the image or video locally on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. You choose where to send it. We do not collect or store what you share.
If you choose to send feedback by email, we receive the email address you use to send the message and anything you include in your message. We use that information only to read, respond to, and act on your feedback.
We use Aptabase to process the basic usage analytics described above. Apart from that, we do not share app data with third parties.
